Hello World,
My name is Birdie, I am the owner of Birdie Hugs Child Care. I started working in the Child Care industry in 2016 when my husband and I moved from California to Texas. I love to work with children, so I decided to apply at a daycare center within walking distance of our residence. I started off as a floater and continued to climb until I became the lead teacher for the preschool class. I rapidly acquired the skill and the experience was exciting and unforgettable. My knowledge of child care increased tremendously during those 2 years and I'm thankful to be in this important industry.
In 2018, my husband & I decided to move to Oregon, where I held a lead position at a retail store. Re-evaluating my goals I quickly decided to pursue my true passion of becoming a preschool teacher. I've worked in a few centers and a private in home daycare throughout Sherwood, Tualatin and Tigard until 2022. I elected to leave my provider job and pursue my goal of becoming a Child Care Provider. Now, I'm a proud, successful business owner in Sherwood, OR.
Birdie Hugs opened the nest in October 2022 and continues to grow and provide well grounded education. I'm a kid at heart, that's why I love what I do... I’m the child whisperer. (Trademark pending)
